For the 13th year, Kummer Financial Strategies donated another 100 new coats to Coats for Colorado! Through the annual Thanksgiving drive, KFS has purchased and donated over 1200 new coats for people in need on behalf of our wonderful clients. Tom Cole with 9News was on hand this year to record the piles of coats going to Dependable Cleaners for distribution. Join us in supporting this event each year in November.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s was a success and we appreciate your support! The KFS team and family members raised money and joined thousands of others in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in September 2017!

The 2017 KFS Shred event was a good opportunity to securely dispose of those sensitive papers!

KFS has conducted School Supply Drives to assist the Douglas County Educational Foundation.

Charity Events:
KFS selects various charities each year to benefit from our collections and donations.  Events include food and school supply drives for donations to the Colorado Food Bank, the Douglas County Task Force, Samaritan House, the Denver Rescue Mission and the Denver Children’s Home.

Community Outreach:
KFS has been working to educate the community by improving financial literacy for 30 years through Kummer Financial, Financial Planners of Colorado and the Financial Planning Association.  Events include working in the schools to teach basic financial skills, donating time to churches and community centers to help with financial advice, working with Warren Village residents and the Mi Casa Center  and the US Conference of Mayor’s Denver Financial Planning Days.

There are many options to bone up on financial terms and economic conditions on the website, through KFS newsletters, finance columns and workshops.  Please request additional information if there is a topic you have a question on.
